I looked up these terms and now I understand better. I hope to buy the camera but don't have it yet.

.. i thought that you wanted D70.
it was not well told although it wrote knowing about MACRO photography. and the talk of CCD or a tripod was not related.
i am sorry.

Thank you so much Hiroshi. I'm having a bit of trouble with your English conversion as I'm sure you are with me. Please, what is CCD and also GIZZO G2220, these are not things I understand.
With the tripod could you not use a sand bag to give more weight? This could be carried in a back pack to minimize hardship from carrying a heavy tripod. Thank you very much.
Ellen

thanks for a comment, Ellen.

what i can say about 'MACRO' is next.

1.
DOF of big size CCD is very shallow.
it doesn't get like the mini size CCD camera.

2.
you must have a very firm tripod.
i can photograph it at fast shutter speed by fine weather, but a focusing range comes off because of minute physical rolling body.
(i photograph macro outdoors anytime.
recommending it is "GIZZO G2220" which established an important point for macrophotography.
'carbon tripod' may be light, but the one where aluminum is made in is good because a weight is necessary by all means.
however, you need power like a professional wrestler.)

That's all.

let's play ... i hope i say "welcome!!"

p.s.
in addition, photograph it with a RAW MODE if you obtain Nikon D70, and let's use "Nikon Capture" of developing software.

Now that's a macro. Forgive me but the first word to come to my mind was "damn". No offence this can be a good word here. I'm in the prosses of trying to buy a D70, at the moment I'm trying to sell everything I can. This deal may pass me by, but then I will know it's not for me. If I do get it I will come to you for advice.
