really cool, the f828 works great with high light condition, the colors are better that eos types, ofcourse we won't miss Judi and here great work! :)

Thankyou Arwa. I am flattered with the comparison. I also tossed up whether to remove the end of the log but left it there as I felt it was a part of nature. The white end and there is also a blood red end that doesn't show up as well in this image.

Yes I did use a flash to get the light across the stump. It took some doing but I finally got it right in the end.

Thanks Randy. I really had to work hard to get this shot. The flash had to be just right at the right angle and within millimetres of another huge log which I was trying really hard to keep out of the shot. I finally got it in the end.
