About A view from Fonte Grande State Park (http://www.vitoria.es.gov.br/secretarias/meio/fonte.htm) in Vitória/ES.

This picture looks out from the high vantage-point of the Fonte Grande hill in the Island of Vitória. The foreground hills are part of the island, but most of the background is in the mainland.

To the left, the Vitória mangrove, the largest urban mangrove in the world. Center-left is Mestre Álvaro, a hill used by seamen of old to help navigate. To the right, in the background, Camburi beach and the start of Tubarão harbour, major outlet for steel products from CST (www.cst.com.br).

Five pictures taken with a tripod and Cokin gray graduate filter. Manual, 1/5s at f/8. Stitched together with standard software provided by Canon.

PS work: hiding some of the stitch marks, some layer work to bring out detail in the foreground.

Usefilm size limits prevent a better view.

Thanks, Roger.

I would agree with you. Keep a file size limit, and perhaps have a flexible "pixel area" limit of 800x800 (640000) that one can "use" in whatever proportions.

All of us who love panoramas run up against the Usefilm limitation. Wouldn't it be good if instead of 800 x 800 maximum we could keep the same area but make it, say, 400 x 1600! This beautiful panorama would certainly benefit. Five stitches? That's a lot of work. Well done!

Thilo,

Thanks again for the critique. I was wondering when I was going to get the first comment on this... :-/

Once again, I've checked levels and histogram and I don't see the overbrightness. Don't know what's going on...

Thanks again! Keep'em comin'!

hi angelo,

your're right, this view IS limited by UF =)

great depth perception and gradients. you may work on the light parts here as they seem to be a bit overbright.

best wishes,

thilo
