It's funny to see how we usually look for eyes when we take a portrait and we forgot that mouth is good enought to transmit happyness... this is an excellent example!

Glad that you liked the idea. I just presented a different composition. The image was too small and heavily compressed for web upload. Editing in RGB color space has slightly changed the tones.
Saw your other photos too. You are a truly talented photographer.

Thanks Arwa. This is the alternative composition I was talking about framing the face in left frame and giving more breathing space infront. I had to photoshop part of your cheek to do so. I hope it resembles you originally. lol.

Salam SIS Arwa I think me and M.Zafar were commenting in the same moment. What I meant first is first that the face comes first in the subject and the back white thing comes second and disturbing, so by eliminating it you leave the smiling face as your main clear subject consequently a dominant element. Thanks. Saeed

welcome to usefilm nicola!!! You said something in your portfolio about wanting to learn?I?ve been here about a year and I did learn a lot by trying to critique others images! Also critiquing your own work Try going by projects and read the description, view the projects favorites and its even ok to try and imitate some ideas! Just shoot as much as you can :) oh and read some good photography books ;) Thanx for the comment nicola

Thank you for your honest feedback! M.zafar About the sharpness of the image, the original is sharp, focused and well lit, its just hat last year I decided to cover my hair?wear hijab?if you need an explanation please feel free to ask...so I cropped the original turned it to black and white added grain high contrast diffuse glow, soft spot filter smart blue filters sharpening LOL a lot of manipulation to lose the skin and hair details So actually your comment proved that I got it right this time :P
Your right about the crop! Maybe I should just exclude the shoulder out something like this?

This image has something to attract, the softness and the modern way of not showing completely as leaving the theme for imagination, I would?ve eliminate the left white elements at the back to give the smile semi hiding face a stronger look and first is first. Saeed

Very thoughtful composition leaving somethings for imagination. Composing lower half of the face with beautiful smile really working well here. IMHO the image is too soft and pixellated. A soft focus effect is slightly different where you achive the same effect yet the details of skin texture are not obsecured. Here the skin texture is completely lost which takes away much of the warmth of the portrait. The other thing which is slightly distracting is that the complete left half of the frame has no interest. The moment the viewer looks at the image, eyes are drawn to the right extreme frame where the subject's eyes must be looking. Framing the face in the upper left frame would have added more breathing space in the frame where the eyes are looking. Anyway this small bit does not decrease the overall impact of the photo. A lovely capture indeed.
Kind regards.

Have I told you lately that I love you? Have I told you there's no one else above you? Fill my heart with gladness, take away all my sadness, Ease my troubles, that's what you do.
For the morning sun in all it's glory, Meets the day with hope and comfort too, You fill my life with laughter, somehow you make it better, Ease my troubles, that's what you do.
There's a love less defined, And its yours and its mine, Like the sun. And at the end of the day, We should give thanks and pray, To the one, to the one.
