Woo,so beautiful!
The trees are the most famous scenery of Huangshan.Their name is YingKe Song."Song" is phoneticize in Chinese which means pine tree.^-^
And YindKe means welcome the guests. Look, does't its branch like a hand which are welcoming and sending off the guests?

It's amazing how trees can grow like that, through rock and get to a fairly big size. The perspective you have given us is great, I think I would be a bit dizzy way up there. Alison

Hi Zeev.... i climbed straight up. Huangshan is not an easy climb and getting from top to bottom is a challenge, especially with a back pack on. the altitude is only 1900 metres or so from top to bottom, but it's a tough 1900 metres :>) they do have cable cars (three different ones) that go up and down, and i used one of them to get down. and despite the fact i was an army parachutist in the past, that cable car ride had me thinking twice about the decision to go down by that method.... it was very high above ground at some points.

take care zeev ~ james

Very nicely lit and a great vista. Quite a stunning bit of landscape very well captured, I think.

They certainly do! Wonderful contrast between the trees in the foreground and the mountains behind. A very "Chinese" image - I like it.
