Dear Arwa,

I'm glad you didn't get me wrong here ;-)

I'm using my 14mm (near fisheye) mainly for architecture stuff. like in Venice or New York. you may use the lens for special portraits as well but it gives you some odd proportions ;-)

So to nail it down: If you definitely want the wide angle, go for the lens. If you need some straight lines, go for another lens ;-) straight lines is something you won't get with this lens until you correct the lines afterwards with PS.

Just my 2 cents though. there are for sure other opinions out there.

best wishes,

thilo

Al though am not a fan of fisheye lens :) but you managed to convince me in liking this composition, the off centre is an excellent choice to balance the composition, superb.Saeed

Hello samer
First of all I want to thank you for your honest feedback and for taking the time to actually write a comment
Second of all thank you for suggesting the use of another lens I?ll try tacking it with the 18-70 mm lens
There was no need to use a tripod because I took it at a high shutter speed 1/60

Dear thilo
I really appreciate this comment of yours more than another one u ever gave me!!!! So please HELP! When u say that ? I'm not sure if the subject is dedicated for this kind of lens.
?
which type of photography usually goes with fisheye lenses? Landscape cityscape?
When u say that this image doesn?t work with this lens can u be more specific im still learning and that?s what I like about usefilm? :)

hi arwa,

I have the feeling that you will bring us a lot of fun with your fish eye. it's not that I don't like this picture as well, but I'm not sure if the subject is dedicated for this kind of lens.

I know how exciting it is to have a new lens ;-) and to show the world, how exciting one feels. I stay tuned for the really great stuff... from you.

best wishes,

thilo

Nice idea & well taken , i think the rule of thirds is a must for this one but not with the fisheye effect on the sides which i feel was not the right choice of lense for such compsition , i,m not so sure , but i,m sure elements placement needs some work , colors are very nice , focus is lost somewhere at least on my screen , i think you needed a tripode , congrats
