Thanks for the comment Lou. I am relatively new to image manipulation. Almost all of my work up to the last 2 months had been B+W film, with only minor adjustments to the original image. Since I bought the D70 I have started to learn a little more about photoshop, but I still have a long way to go.

Nice, Richard. The marching of the fenceposts across the image is very interesting. I like the gray, brooding sky of the first image you posted, but I like the foreground colors (and foreground brightness) of the second image you posted (your original, apparently).
It would be interesting to combine the bright, colorful foreground with the dark, broodying sky.

Thanks Joanna, and welcome to usefilm. I hope you learn as much, and have as much fun as I have.

Beautiful image, Ruchard. That red roof brings warmth to a cold frontier. Very nice. I like the original just as well, also.

Thanks for taking the time Fadel. You are always welcome to "experiment" with my images.

Actually this was an experiment ...... partially desaturated, without a conversion to grayscale. The foreground did come out a little darker than I intended. Here is the original.

Great composition and colors! it might be intentional but I think the foreground is little bit dark, if you don't mind I brightened the image with "levels", and then masked out the sky with a gradient mask.
