Yes, it's a delicious fruit (called 'k-nok' in the Northern dialect).

Thanks, Shannon, for your wonderful comments about this and my other photos.
This is a fruit called rambutan. What appears to be spikes is relatively soft; the hull/shell is a little hard. You remove the shell with your thumb nail; inside is a soft fruit around a relatively large hard pit/seed. Each rambutan is maybe 1.5 inches in diameter. I'm told they are similar to lycnee nuts.
Thanks again for your kind comments. -- Naomi

Pattern shots! I love this. The repitition of the shapes allows your eye to roam across the entire picture. I love the colors, and it's an interesting subject . . what is it?

Hi Peter, Thanks for your comment. I had increased the contrast and was afraid of over doing it. Great color framing your acorn nut photo. -- Naomi

Wonderful Photograph Naomi, Great colors, clarity and Composition. Could use a little contrast to bring out the color... I have a sot of a simular type... http://www.usefilm.com/image/640936.html
