hye there's a story behind this shot opal!!
I was with a grp of friends on a picnic trip in a van; and i got down on the driveway to this temple, to be able to capture the whole temple compound in it's wholeness. The temple was yet a km away..and God forbid!! U know i didn't had a tripod at time. Imagine that u have such a nicely lit sculptured temple and you don't carry a tripod....the reading was coming all red on my nikon fm10(35-70mm) on all workable shutter settings....i was really puzzled at how to get it right as i knew i wd never get the same opportunity again....well, when nothing seemed to have worked, i turned to the old-timers way... i tied the strap arnd my neck and made my arms stiff; with all the tension being transferred to my neck, i took couple of shots at B- 1/4 1/8 and 1/15 1/30 settings.....that was the reason u know why the frame appeared tilted coz by the time i finished selecting my angles and camera settings i was 2 tired to actually concentrate to avoid minor tilts of the frame....But in the end as u can see i was really lucky...Well that was in contradiction to one of photography's wide spread dictum ..."anything below 1/30 always registers a shake..." But, was in confirmity with larger universal law..Where there's a will there's a way.

And you know what, i still don't own a tripod till this day..............hehehehe

That is a much better photo. Crisp, clear, balanced. Night photos are hard. I don't do many night photos. It is hard to find a subject that is well lite to photograph, don't give up, keep trying...............................Opal
