Thanks for the info Audra. I am still learning and and I appreciate the help. I posted a pic of "the tree" without the fence for you. Check it out when you get a moment.

Nope.. ISO at 400..then did curves in Photoshop to bring out a little detail in the wood and such. Thanks, I'm really glad you like it.

Okay, you got me with this one. The pier is so much stronger, and well defined than the rest of the image. Did you use any special technique to do this? Very soft welcoming sky. Congrats.

Then the color version it is. It is a shame that your lovely self is not included in the image. ;-))

Thank you Owen my sweet. I compared the two..that was one of the first things I did. I've decided I am in love with those strong black lamposts against that soft yellow sky... It feels like a scene from a play...

Audra:
Even though this has been done before, you have done it well. This is one I would like to see in black and white. The color image may end up working better but you owe it to yourself to compare the two. Well done dear lady, well done.

Wow, the thumbnail hit me right away. Love this shot - great compo. So geometric - cool little pier lights too. Very nice work. Mark
