I have several photos of this era. I may post a few of them later. I didn't think there was a lot of interest for motorsports in this site, so I have stayed away from posting that sort of thing. My Porsche at Moss Corner photo that you commented on seems to appeal to a few people anyway. So this shot of JYS is fairly current at a vintage event then? I would love to spend some time in England when the Goodwood Festival is on. Motor racing has always been one of my passions since I was about ten years old.
Hi Nigel, the photo of J.Stewart was taken at oulton park in 2003, reason I took this is that in 1971 I was at Oulton Park and Jackie was driving the same car that day, Also Ronnie who was my hero then was there the same day just starting out in F1 at that time in an early March if I remember and you could see that he was going to be something speciel then, I also remember watching the Monza Race on Tv when ronnie had his fatel accident at the start of the race Very Sad moment as with many others in that era Bill
Ok so technically it leaves a lot to be desired but this is your photo of sporting history,one of the greatest drivers and cars ever and you saw them and photographed them.I would have given my eye teeth for the oppurtunity although it would have been the JPS Lotus and the late great Ronnie Peterson that I would have gone for.
