Intriguing! The fiery color of the blossom sure stands out beautifully and the soft textures do add a very painterly feel. But I think the basic composition of branches and horizon is strong to begin with and it all adds up to a very pleasing image!!!

Great effect Subhash, I watched a film at my local camera club recently where they were doing this experiment with jelly and vaseline - it is amazing the results you can obtain :-)

Best wishes,
Steve

The strong colour and nice light through the flower make an eye-catching point in her and when open up the image i saw the motion blur. Excellent Subhash!

Dear Larry it is very simple but with dramatic results, just apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly on your uv filter & then click ,i will post a few more hope you like them, cheers,Subhash.
PS Also as Mark suggested you can keep one area clear & blurr the rest too.

It looks very painterly! Have you ever tried keeping the center clear and the outer edges smeared with petroleum jelly? There are many ways and many effects. Keep experimenting.

Most unusual title fits the image. It is very nice, I relly like the way the red flower just gently glows
