Excellent .. the crop and angle of view is very well chosen .. Dof is perfect .. the blue background makes the lemon pop out of the photo ..
Did you use flash ?
Was the blue background added later in PS ?

A mouthwatering image and very well set up too. The deep blue background really makes the most of the fresh yellow lemon and the bubbles are so crisp and sharp I expect them to pop at any second. Excellent work Dan.

This is my 8th technique shooting bubbles on a lemon, Actually very easy . Aperture F29 ,shutter 1/100th second. I use an extension tube for most of my macro shots this makes it easy to focus close.
I removed the reflection from the light by selecting and cloning in Photoshop.
