Ben, thanks for taking a look through my photos! Yes, my lens is on the cheap side; I bought my camera and lens my senior year in high school, so I was on a budget, and I've not upgraded since.
Thanks for your comments -- I've always enjoyed macro shots more than anything else, though I try to keep from limiting myself to just them...

I definatly think your best shots are these macros, I love the saturation and the simple comositions. I think you must be shooting with a low quality lense though because every one of your shots is a little soft. Perhaps it's just the process of putting them on the computor that is at fault? As for the picture of the double back flip that you asked me about, It is a composition of 5 images. Pretty fun Photoshop effect.
