I LOVE barn images and try to capture them. It isn't as easy to accomplish what you've got here. Many of mine fall way short of how glorious they are when I'm standing in front of them. Very nice color range, and I like the light. Composition is also very nice. T.

Geesh... ya have so many friends, I hope mine makes it to ya!! Taken on the same day. (Yers is killer nice by the way) I had this pic in mind, but it was toooooo cold to actually walk outside. So I shot from the living room. MM gave me a smack on the ear for letting the cold in. For you Becc, no one else has this... unless of course the come to this comment site. But, anyway, thought ya would get a laugh outta me and my pansy arsed too cold to go outside shot. All the best to ya lass. JIL

I keep telling myself I'm going to stop and photo every old barn and old house I see, but it never happens. I feel we're going to lose these old treasures with no record of there existence. Thanks for keeping record. Oh yeah, great picture.

Fine by me.
(Increasingly I seem to have turned to 'poetry' when incensed by rather narrow public issues - hence, some of the fury found on
http://hometown.aol.co.uk/leonwebster/orwelliannightmare.html
But I suspect my better poetry tends to be less intense and perhaps more self-mocking...)

Thank you Len. I see you're a writer as well as photographer. I too, wrote poetry for years, though I never tried to publish any. I write when I'm depressed or troubled usually. Maybe someday we could share some poetry also?

A very effective photograph of a rural scene. Your limited the colour range well (though Serge's version is interesting, too).

Wonderful rural scene. I really like the reddish barn contrasting with the pastel blue sky. Nice low sun. Beautiful job.

The foreground including the barn are spot on for color and contrast. But the sky seems to lack any oomph..!It looks a little watery on my screen.
Well done Rebecca and keep 'em comin' in 2005

Kevin, I think it is supposed to be more color. I never see a great amount of difference. Maybe more contrast. This old barn in reality is actually this red, and this was eveninf sun with a lot of warm golden tones. There's several barns and a silo here, but this one always catches my eye. Thanks for all your support during 2004, and your inspiration. I've learned a lot form you.
