Wow...Mark...seems like the pork shot hit a nerve....sorry...Having spent time in a few 3rd world countries myself , you're right ..pork is a mainstay. Having owned a 300lb New Hampshire as a pet....they're incredibly resourceful, essentially clean, and bloody smart.... The guys in the photo looked like they were enjoying themselves....I see them around the hills all the time, they're friendly, plus they get rid of rattlesnakes as well. No religious inuendo was intended either, either you eat them or not... I could care less about that... I just happen to like them! Good Luck D.A.
This one popped up on my needs comments page after i left another comment on my friends page. I 'm not sure I get the joke (besides the play on words) but if it's suppose to be some kinda put down of pork those could have easily been a group of wild dogs or cats.Scenes like this are SO common in the third world I don't even notice. My main thing is world travel / photography (for a long time now) so I try to stay very open to things and some of the best cuisine's in the world (Chinese, Mexican, French, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian, American South, etc) include many great Pork dishes. Maybe I totally misunderstood what you were trying to say but if a person's a carnivore pork's usually one of the things that get consumed from time to time (unless there's religious connotations attached to the shot which is a whole different discussion) Anyway, that's my take on the photo - I don't understand where you're coming from exactly so...(sorry), All the best, Mark
