About Taken a few months ago. The shot which made me smile most this year when I realised how well it had come out. I stood on the bank looking down at the pond watching this dragonfly go round and round. After 10 minutes or so I knew his circuit and started shooting. Comments, ratings always appreciated whether positive or negative as long as they're fair. Many thanks.

Very good this insect in flight .. must be quite difficult ! I remember waiting half an hour to catch a good shot at these guys, their are not slow at all .. you got great motion on the wings, the head is sharp, colours look great !

Bruce.....this is a 7! It's a great shot and very well lit. The colours show superbly. I should mention too that I've tried an in-flight shot like that and ......well lets say I'm still trying )

Thanks for the comments on my shot too

Hi Bruce,
This is a marvellous shot of that beautiful dragonfly.
I saw one this summer just like it and as it was exceptional because we normally don't have dragonflies that big overhere, I took a shot, but all came out very blurry alas.
Could this be one of the same species as yours?

I'm glad you invited me to look, Bruce. This is fantastic! I haven't even tried to catch one in motion. One thing I really like about this site is the challenge and inspiration other photographers like you afford. Thank you.

Hey Bruce, great photo!!! I always visit the pages of people kind enough to comment on my photo's. I am almost always in for a treat, and today was no exception. Also glad to see someone who loves macro's as much as I do... I am jealous of your camera too!! Hope I can afford one some day. Keep up the good work.

You don't honestly think you would get a negative comment on this Bruce ;-)

I only know how difficult these are to capture but this is absolutely outstanding. An incredible capture :-)
