About Yesterday evening, the moon was almost full, and every time there was a break in the clouds, it would appear. I stopped the truck and sat down on the grass with the camera braced on my knee. The wind was blowing very hard, and there was movement in the leaves, so I used smart blur in PS, and resized.

Great use of the trees in the photo, but I am having too much fun picturing you taking the photo to comment on the photo itself. Del.

Thank you Rebecca.. I find that in this shot, the atmosphere is present too.. I prefer whithout blur.. The trees contribute to this particular atmosphere that you have catched.. THank you for sharing Rebecca. See you ;)

Beautiful beautiful soft indigo sky Rebecca. The gorgeous full moon peeking through the delicate lacework of the tree. Your time and freezing your 'tookus' (that's a new one I have never heard) off were certainly worth it. A stunning end to the day.

Oh there's nothing quite so satisfying as a touch of spookiness at the end of a hard day. Everything about this turned out to be exactly right. (Did you know before that you had a "tookus?")

Thanks Matthew. I'll remember that next time I have my film camera out. I'm limited to 2 seconds on my digital. :(

When I take pictures like this, I like to use about a 2 minute shutter speed and an aperture of about f3. This makes the clouds look like streaks of light in the sky. It's also better to hide the moon behind a tree because it would be overexposed with those settings.

Stuart, it wasn't totally dark out yet, or I probably couldn't have done it either. The sun had just gone down, yet there were still colors in the sky. I think I had the aperture on 5.6 and just kept trying speeds until I managed to get one light enough . Thanks :)

Very beautiful, yet a little ominous at the same time it has a very cold feel to it, with amazing color in the sky. Very nice. Alison

Great Job, I'm sure you froze your tookus off getting this shot, I know it was cold in this part of Virginia. The blur gives this photo a softness & the colors are soft & pastel. The result is a wonderful dreamlike quality. Nice work- love it! Dottie
