I think the boat on the left has an unfair advantage Chris. I hope you protested. Regards John

Interesting application of water pattern. I can't get over how sharp your lens's are. sharp as a tack. I must be doing something wrong.

Now I know why you didn't catch any fish. You were taking pictures instead. You must have that camera in overdrive most of the time. Very nice work. Don.

I'm not sure if you read the 'about', Hugo, but in there I explained that I'd added a water pattern overlay. I'm not sure why it's more pronounced on the sky than anywhere else, but I like it! (I'm in one of my 'do something different' moods!!)
Thanks for the kind comment.

Great composition, Chris. Not sure it needs the water pattern, but hey, if you can then why not try it?

I'm glad to know...
To me it must be the best way to spend a day... lots of time...where nothing is happening... great oppotunity for talking.. and just being together...lovely.

LOL...night!

Hi Chris, You are an early bird! I like this shot; I'm a keen sailor, and this type of image always appeals to me alot. I only wonder what happened to the sky, it looks a bit fabricated, if you know what I mean.

Cheers,

Hugo

Yeah, I liked it, Merete!
It was good to spend some time with Jon.
And it was fun ~ the anticipation of a catch, the relaxation, the conversation, etc.
I just found it very tiring! (I'm getting old ~ at least, sometimes I feel like it! ;-/ )
But it was a GOOD day! ;-)
Thanks for your kind wishes!
Chris

Don't you know that at 4:30 instead of crashing on the couch you should have been out in the kitchen to help fixing the dinner?

Sounds like you had a nice day!
And a fruitful one, getting more nice photos.
This one is very nice, I like the artsy effects.

Lori :)

ps...yes, the watercolor effect on this one is much better than sandstone...save that one for the dunes.
