Great Shot Jim. 1/250th. ? Any Idea what shutter speed was? Whaterver it was it is pefect for the wing tips. I'd give ya a 7 but the composition is just a bit off. Human nature to center the subject when you quick draw like that. Not much time to think... Would have liked to seen some room in the frame for the mallard to fly into......6

Hi there, excellent capture!..apt title,too..would only crop out the little head bottom right corner...very good DOF and the details are amazing,Jim..i haven't ever captured a good shot of these mallards in flight and am in awe of your talent!..regards,gayle (thanks for your comments and you are way too kind ;> )

A nice clear image with very good colors!
I think a tighter crop would make this photo more dramatic.
