About Just a macro of a mushroom from a different perspective. While lying on the grass beneath this fungus, we bonded. :) I wondered how it would taste..then I thought.. nahhhhhhh

you can't fool me. This is a great shot of a barnacle encrusted WWII mine. But how did you get the fuji to work under water????? Interesting shot none-the-less.

From the thumbnail I thought it was an underwater shot of a WWII mine drifting in the ocean! Very interesting perspective of an unusual subject, Rebecca!

Fantastic macro. I first thought it was a vanilla ice cream. I think that's the point with interesting macros.....keep the viewer guessing what those amazing shapes and forms are.

An alien life form if I ever saw one. For God's sake be careful. You think you could eat this? It might just turn the tables on you.

Ok, I'll chime in... if the grass was there... it was there!! Leaving it actually makes the image more, hmmm.... natural. No, that's not what I mean... more Natuer-al. Easy to look at. And the grass gounds the image in reality. Me like.

I like this image, I am glad you explained or I would never have guessed. Now will you post the photo of you laying under that fungus bonding? That should be interesting. Del.

Nice Rebecca. Maybe just a slight increase in contrast.

I had no idea what i was looking at before i read your text. I love this macro.. great idea and it looks so odd and different. The texture on it is awesome and the tones likeso. Light is very good asswell. Only thing i would see different is that Straw of grass? that can been seen in the picture. I would love seeing that removed. Ive done a version on your photo.. just took 5mins on me.. could been done alot better then this. Just an idea! =)

Cheers

VERY surreal, Rebecca! Excellent B&W tones. Gotta love a spacey macro, huh? Nicely done!

great macro for me, very abstract...

the only irritating part for me is the blade of grass :( without it, hard to beat the impression

Cheers,
Verena

That's what i call them,too!...cool macro and the lighting/tone gives this image that musky-earthy look...nice details and dew drops...looks otherworldly,Poe ...Shameless (skinner's name for me ;> and i call her Sassy)
