Bill Congrates on going back. Too many times we drive by and say, I'll get it later then you take a different route and never see it. Very good shot and very good subject ! Good eye jimc

It is odd how the railroads abandon things. I have seen literaly miles of old cars hidden on back roads to just rust away. Why don't they scrap them some way. Great capture. don.

Hi Lee .... So glad it brought back memories ... It's good to go back .. at times. Was a sad moment standing there looking at this majestic machine.

Great shot Bill. I know of a place here in Houston that has a similar shot it but had no real good place to stop and get it. I might have to go back and look again. I also like the story you have to tell with this.

What a treat. I used to be a Brakeman and I road on many similar to this engine. Behind the cab was the engine compartment and what a adventure it was when I had to walk thru the engine compartment at 55mph, oil wet floors and the engines hammer so loud you would think you ears was going to pop.. Very nice memories. Great shot.....thanks for sharing. Lee
