It's fun to leave it up to the imagination of the viewer. Sometimes it's nice not to force-feed your ideas on others, but encourage them to dream on their own. Thanks Diego!

Very intersting details. I like the colors and the cut u gave to the shot. I like these kind of photos, made of details from which u can imagine everithing u want. Ver well done.

Neal, I'm starting to come to terms with the power of the tripod. I used to be resistant to its use, but now I have a lot of ideas about capturing motion and patterns and unusual light. Thanks for the comments! erik

Tony, Very interesting insight. As I explained to Thilo, the interaction between shutter speed variation and cycle of the ride cause differences in the "weave", both in color and shape. I have some other versions(which i'll post) with these different designs. Ciao, erik

Thilo, Exactly. I had this kind of thing in mind when concieving the idea. The cropping on this one was done in the camera. There are many more from the series. Each looking very different, depending on shutter speed variations in relationship to the cycle of the ride. Thanks for the insight. erik

Bordada, le ha salido bordada (en españa las mujeres bordan paños con dibujos efectuados cosiendo, esta expresion quiere decir que su trabajo se parece a ese tan minucioso, artistico y escepcional)

Dear Erik,
hey, remember the first one and my comment ;-) great that that you chose this focus. without the wheel in mind, this one gets a real abstract cutie. the cropping looks like the belts around a planet. good composing! take care, thilo

What an interesting pattern and what a fun discovery. Well worth the effort of lugging a tripod around. Pretty impressive results!

Another beauty Erik. I love the sense of motion and the pattern of the ride lights. It looks a lot like a drawing from one of those gear wheel toys.
