About Just can't seem to get my head going today ~ it just doesn't want to think, to focus, to come up with anything constructive?

Which is a bit worrying as I have a wedding to speak at tomorrow!!

So, I thought I'd load up this shot from last evening's little foray and give my brain a rest for a few minutes!! It was taken on the road between Stoke-sub-Hamdon and Norton-sub-Hamdon ~ the suffixes meaning: 'beneath Ham hill', or 'town'. The light was catching the long grass and provided me with some much-needed foreground interest.

I hope you like it!! The composition is as it was taken, but I've used PS to give it more of a painterly look.

Back later?

Best regards, Chris

Chris, I like the picture very much, but I'd be interested to know how you'd define a "painterly" look. If you mean addding "brush stroke" filtering, it just isn't visible at this size. With weddings, I've found that there's less problem in WHAT needs to be said (which remains pretty constant) but in HOW you say it--keeping it all fresh for those whose special day it is when you've been through so very many ceremonies over the years.

The foreground light is what I was going to comment on. It is very nice and even, your shot is very nicely composed. days like today happens. check your biorhythms, you are probably at a low spot.

Lovely colouring, great sky. Very nice composition.

Thanks for your reply to my 'miffed' problem. The fact that I have no way of knowing whether it is my image he posted as his own - or whether he then worked on the image and got it the same as the one I did makes it questionable whether to say anything about it.
Thank you very much for your imput
