Fading into darkness. I like it a lot. Your title is excellent. I find these places very resting and peaceful as soon as I set foot in one. Eternal rest for those interred there. A short respite for me while I linger there. There is just something about cemeteries.

I like this as is but have a couple alternatives and thoughts... The foreground stone pops so strongly against the background that it almost looks as if it does not belong! It may be that you have sharpened it a little too much? On the composition - one might consider seeking an position to photograph this a little to the right of where you were so as to reduce the separation between the stones? Also not sure about the shadow in the lower left corner. I think you made the right choice to focus on the nearest stone altough it is quite close to the edge of the photo, but for me that too is just a matter of preference: for some reason I find it easier to like background blur than having elements in the foreground out of focus.

"To think. The flesh that once held the world in awe, now stops a winter flaw." Or something like that. (Tried to grab some Willy Shakes. from memory) Nice shot of a cemetery in a small "Hamlet."

Wonderful light and atmosphere Gayle. I can practically feel the worn granite textures of the edges of the headstone. It looks like you and Rebecca are wandering the same cemetery and your minds are in sync. Excellent B/W.
