About my brother wants to study industrial design and right now he is working on his portfolio...one of the topics is 'sitting'.
Today we made a photo session around this theme. This triptych shows for me the best results.

Your comments and critcism are highly appreciated.

Hi Hugo,

to be honest, my brother wanted pictures where his head is not included, so that the way of sitting is the important part and not the designer.

And these three pictures are in my (as a photographer view) opinion the best ones.

Doesn't mean he is using this ones for his portfolio.

I hope he knows 'more or less' what he's doing and he knows that the target was not to act like a model ;)

Cheers,
Verena

Hi Verena, As an industrial designer myself, I can relate to the portfolio hassle...;o) But what's the most important in a portfolio? The designer or his work?

Good series, I like the consistent elements in it. The unusual things to sit on, and the vacant, distant look, away from the camera, but also the slight backlighting, makeing the image a bit soft, and dreamy.

Great photo, and a very good portrait, but IMO more focusing on the designer and less on the designed work. To be honest, I'm in doubt if it would be very suitable for a industrial designers portfolio...
