About	I had hoped to take a ton of artistic shots in NYC but chasing after 130 band kids, I was lucky only to snap a few, mostly by accident. I saw this "busy" woman coming along 5th Avenue in front of Tiffany's. Cell phone and magazine in hand, puppy in the basket. Shot from the hip with barely enough time to point the camera. To me, she epitomized the Manhattan shopper. The pup is just along for the ride and takes in the city with an amazed look.

Hi Dave,

Wonderful photo - it really captures the essence of the energy of Manhattan.

Makes me nostalgic - I lived in Manhattan for five years 1975-1980, and loved it. When my son Ben's school band took a trip there, I jumped at the chance to go along and acted as tour guide :-)

Plus ça change... I've attached a photo I took in 1974 on Madison Avenue - check out the pre-disco hairstyle!
