Very nice photograph you have created! I like the color tones in the sky, different from what is normally displayed, I like that. There is really a nice balance in this image, the whites are not screaming at you!

As for how to do this, just experiment.
Thats what I did. I had never tried bracing a camera against a window, but just thought it should work. So I did it, and it did work! :)
