I agree with your suggestion about turning this image into a panoramic. Just for your information (if you'd like to see it) another person who viewed the photo has posted that modification onto the comments section for the photo. Thanks for the original suggestion.

by bring out the building I don't mean the shadows or the brightness but it just seemed to my eye to make the lighting on the outer walls look a bit like narrower spots so the corners come in more.

Hi Daithí,
Just tried out the crop just now and brought the gamma down (whatever that is) to bring out the building a tad.
A beautiful scene.
Not sure I've improved it.
Good luck with your mission.

I like this. There are some great reflections on the water from all the different coloured lights. I reckon if you cropped this to a panoramic format by removing the sky down to just above the building on the right it would make a stronger composition.
