Dan, WOW! incredible shot here and masterful work in PS! What a unique idea - very creative. The photo is powerful and soothing at the same time. Thanks also for your kind words on my baseball photo. The lens you have should work fine. Just get the right position, plenty of light, shutter priority, and some practice. Regards, Dan

Very creative effect! Thanks for disclosing how you actually did it. This gives me some ideas. Thanks. I?ll give it a 7 for creativity, although, now that I read the last post, maybe it is just a tad too sharp. a memory/dream effect might work well with this. ~ Just an idea ~Mike

A dedication from my buddy Dan Lightner is like getting your wings from Charles Lindburgh (ok, a slight exaggeration). You have consistently exhibited that you need NO help when it comes to creativity. I really like the "flame" effect that you achieved here, the addition of the girl is nice as well, though I would like to see her image a little less pronounced..I think something slightly more "ghostly" would work even better. Did I just criticize a photo that was dedicated to me?? See what kind of friend I am? Thank you, Dan!

A tribute to Gerhard. Looking to the thumbnail, my first thought was that the first painting had a more sparkling color. But as I opened it, I saw this great, stunning Image! This is real photographic ART! The picture you added to the color fits so well in it! Wonderful, great work!! Add it to my favorites!! Kind regards Ellen

Very creative and original work, Dan! You're definately on to something great here. For some fine tuning, I think it the effect might be elaborated on if you'd tweak the image to match the perspective. It looks like you are painting on a flat surface, while the image appears at a different angle. Hope you understand what I mean, as I find it rather difficult to describe (language barrier? Yep... I'm afraid so.) To make it even more intriguing, try "painting" on a curved surface... Have to think about that one myself, though.
I like the fresh idea, very clever, and inspirational... My compliments, both to you and to Gerhard.
Cheers,
Hugo
