Hi Jason, A clever title for a clever photograph, good eye to have seen this opportunity here! I like this one very much. I could even see this without that bit of green above the trunk, think it would look good that way also! Nice work, Lori :)

lovely photo. i like the way the flower angles up the right and the bark bends to the left. makes for a nice triangular composition. well captured.

Hi Jason,
A very nice composition! I like the way you framed the flowers, with their smooth surfaces and pastel color, against the rough, neutral-colored surface of the bark. The small horizontal band of out-of-focus green at the top is a nice touch.
Best regards, SteveR

Yes this cropped version is definately stronger than the original. Sanyukta has a great idea about making the pink flower stand out even more, I agree.
cheers Jason, nicole

This is lovely. Fantastic contrasts with the tiny delicate pink flower wrapped around the rough textured dark tree. Creative capture.

Thank you. I went off of what someone else commented on the original. I'm still trying to figure out and understand the digital manipulation aspects of this. I had to lighten that photo quite a bit, the print was dark to begin with. I don't want to manipulate my photos too much, would rather have it right when I snap the shutter. Thanks again.

I do like the composition a LOT .... and the cropping works well for the photo. If the colours especialy on the flower were more prominent it would be a brilliant photograph. I was thinking maybe you could desaturate the bark a bit but I love the colour of the tree too.
Regards.
