About I like the proud look of this woman, but I think her eyes are too dark. Is there a way to still improve that in this photograph, with photoshop, without loosing the character of the portrait?

Wow. That's an amazing shot. I tried to quickly fix her eyes in order to make the whites a little more white. I had to desaturate them then colorize them. I changed hue to +180 and then increases the lightness and decreased the saturation. Then from there I just used a paintbrush and went by hand. Her right eye worked out pretty well, her left was a little more difficult, but I only spent about 5 minutes on this one so it should be easy enough to fix if you put in about 10-15. Very nice shot though. Im impressed, it looks like something out of a National geographic magazine. Great job!

could use a dodge tool over the area around her eyes to highlight her a bit...great photo mate!

I just love your work. It reminds me of the National Geographic photographer Steve McCurry. His portraits are sometimes dark too. But I thought that I would show you that you can lighten the eyes to any degree you would like. You can use the dodge tool in Photoshop and make it the size of the eye (with it set on mid-tones) and then hit the mouse a couple of times or until you like the effect. I have done this for you on this portrait and also lighted it overall for you just slightly. This is really a nice photo.

I looked at your Web Site today and was very impressed. I am hoping to go to India in May and I certainly hope I come back with some photos like this. Good job!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is an attractive portrait of a particular lady. For me lighting is right.
Good job. Congratulations!

Beautiful subject! THe colors and composition are wonderful! The eyes and the right side of the face are a bit too dark... you can use the "dodge" function in your photo editing program to take care of that... also... that sequin that is glaring could be taken care of with the "burn" feature. Lovely photo overall.

wponderful colours, beautiful street portrait. Light is not perfectly controlled, so there are shadows and dark eyes. Eyes could be lighten in PS with the dodge function. Anyway, for the snapshot, this is almost perfect picture

I am not good in photoshop (yet) so I am sorry I can't help. I do want you to know that I love your work! The colors are vivid and she is beautiful! The cause you are supporting is so important--I admire your strength.

It is a fantastic portrait, the colours are beautiful. I agree, the eyes are a touch dark, you could try to just highlight that area. However there is an air of mystery about her as well
