This is beautiful! I have an FX3 also. ANd several more. Took the FR II out today to try out some recently aquired lenses. I'm glad to see someone else keeps the old tanks alive!

Fantastic picture!
The pattern of lines make it so special, and the dew drops enhance the visual appeal!
Excellent work! Keep going :)

This would be a great contribution to the Flower Contest on the main page... you should look into it!

Hi, Becky... just a note to tell you that I like this one. It's probably more conventional than the other one, and we might not have here the good idea of "bowing down" that we had in the other one, but visually it is very pleasing, and for flora photography, I believe the way you portray beauty here is the right thing to go for. My only suggestions for this particular image would be to crop just a tad the more shawy area at the top, so that you will throw the heart of the flower a bit more off-center, while at the same time minimining the darker areas on the petals - therefore enhancing freshness. Good work here, and I mean it. Best regards.

Becky.... one word: WOW!
Okay, more than one word... lovely lines, awesome DOF and even though I'm not a lover of pink, it works nicely here. Stunning sharpness!

WOW, this is incredible. I love the texture of the center, and water. The petals kept their sofness, while still being tack sharp. Wonderful!

This is my favorite kind of macro, where you really isolate one beautiful aspect of a flower. Great job! Love the dew drops.

Thanks, Nate. :) Believe me, I have several more shots where the focus didn't work at all. With such a shallow DOF, my only goal is to bring out a very specific point. Anything else that comes out sharp is usually a bonus. Going handheld with the macro on such a dark day was really challenging, but I learned a lot from it!

Your macro photography is fantastic. I really like the way this image is in focus from the water droplets in the front to the center and then blurs behind. I probably would have gotten the focus 1/2 in front and 1/2 behind and they would not have worked nearly as well.
