Ya know I really respect this photo. After working with leaves for a while I have to say this is a splendid shot! Because the leaf is back lit very well yet the edges of the leaf are still "cold lit" That is hard to find and you really have to know what angle to shot from.. so congrats!

oh yeah...who cares what camera you used. its all on how you see it.
but for the record
I use mostly all canon, 1D and 1Ds, and an old DCS 520
bronica, and my old canon ftb (black)

ahh, thats to predictable, im not tryin to copy other peoples work, or there ideas, you cant make a good living doing that.
many people can reproduce any image ever seen anyware, but to come up with that idea or comp your self is the whole goal.
some of the stuff i do is similar, and im not saying that im original, i just try to cear my head of all other images before i shoot, so i dont copy or imatate there work.
i like to think, i also came up with the same idea as someone else...and heres my take on it.
i was hesitant to even post it, but as i said, i like the background

Nice photo! I like what you did with the background and the lighting was perfect. moisture on the leaf could have only made it better. Maybe a falling drop of water...?
PS, no information on camera, etc...???

beautiful Ryan.. if it was me holding the camera for 1.5 sec it'll be a blurry mess!!! great DOF and colors.. nice crisp feeling...

Yes, the way the background turned out is wonderful. Handheld at 1.5 s - steady hands :-), even with good support.

belive it or not, i didnt do anything special with the background. its just low DOP, with grass and really dark light(sunset), the exposure was 1.5 sec's, hand held, and I know there was no wind.
its probably why I like the image, (the background)

Nice delicate touch on the leaf. I like what you did with the background as well. It also looks like a multiple exposure situation with another type leaf. I do not know, but I like the technique, if any.
