Perfect composition, Charlie! I like the way the XC-ski track winds down around the evergreen and out of sight and the mountain backdrop is very beautiful. This shot makes me wish for snow soon so I can get my skis out and hit the trails. Well done and thanks for your comments on my lunar eclipse montage.

to all, thank you very much for your wonderful positive comments. to those who don't have experience of their own with snow, it reflects a blue sky in such a way that you have to take care not to come up with pictures totally tinted in blue.

Ausgezeignet! Talk about your s-curves. The exposure on the snow seems just right. If this is from Germany, I can relate about the cold temperatures. I was stationed in Augsburg for three years in the early 1960s. When on maneuvers in the Schwartzwald, I slept with my Leica to keep it warm.

querido jose, thank you very much for your wonderful comment. i had to smile though, this ski track is not so high in the bavarian mountains, only about 1.400 m, and only about 70 km from the city of munich, but there is no road under the snow. and there is no road in summer either.
where are your next pictures anyway?
marie, under a clear blue sky you always get blue snow. you can't help it and if you try hard then you get a b/w which is also nice and impressive for snow.
