This is a juevenile in a sanctury outside Cape Town. Whilst I object to paying a fee to pet wild animals, on this occasion it was worth it as I was able to get up close and not shoot through a fence. I love the calmness of these animals. They look so relaxed yet can explode at any second. It is quite an honour to be let into the same space as an animal as wonderful as this. It was taken about two years ago and before I started to get serious about my photograhy so I dont have any camera settings. It was also late afternoon and after a feed so she lay down under a canopy and wouldnt move out into the sun.
