About While preparing several military vehicles for shipment to Desert Shield, a helicopter I never heard before was flying towards me. This helicopter has a different rotor blades sound than U.S. helicopters, so luckily, I had enough time to get my camera out of the bag and see what was coming my way. From a distance, I recognized a Russian built Hind A attack helicopter. Surprised to see one, this was great opportunity to captured images of this flying machine.
The Hind A is like a flying tank, therefore, it cannot hover. It must keep a continual flight line.
Enlarge the photo to enhance image and chopping. This Hind A was used for vehicle recognition classes for U.S. soldiers.
