About Fred Bodel's Camp is probably one of the premium resorts of the Lightning Ridge Opal field. It is so active and racous that you can hear the dingos howl all night long...

Nice balance and good color with good detail. The sky is rich and it appears that a CP was used. Offsets the lighter foreground well.

Thanks for the help and taking the time...If you get a chance could you real quick take a glance at the bunnies pict. and tell me if you think the DOF is too shallow? If you don't have the time , I understand ,but it's been bugging me and I need an opinion I can trust. Thanks again!

Ok, I give--what happened to Steve Kompier's photos? It is none of my business of course...

Wayne. In a lot of these places they build their digs over their digs. sixty feet down that shaft it's a lot more comfortable than the 110 degrees on the surface--it's also a good place to stash the babes.

Vincent. It did! There's not a Hilton for three hundred miles.

Nicolette. This is full, hard sun. You can expose for the highlights and let the rest take care of itself--or bracket for deliberate underexposure. I'm a strong believer in underexposing slide film for richer colors--as long as the exposure on your primary subject is ok.

Here is the same scene in the evening when the light should have made the photo--as you can see, it doesn't.

Is this what people call quaint to make themselves feel better?Nice shot.Do you need a polarizer filter to get the sky that blue?

Look out! This place may put the Hilton out of business.
