Honey, I checked all of your photos and none of them told me what type of equipment you are using. So I don't know if you have the ability to change the F stop on your lens, doing so, it altered your DOF. Small F stop (2.8) shallow DOF. Large F stop (22) larger DOF. This may not be the best image to reflect that. I believe this was shot at 2.8. This should give you an idea of what a blurred background would look like. If the model was parallel to the film plane, all of the model would be in focus. I hope this helps.

To Reynaldo and Danny. I have also posted this on another critique forum and have gotten the same suggestions. First thanks for critiquing. I do appreciate comments when I get them and I do try to use them in future photo sessions, be that my profesional layouts or when I am just off and about taking pictures.

This was not done in Macro which is why the background isn't blured. I wanted her to be a part of the surroundings, with her holding the roses and the placement of her feet. Because this is a full body shot, my distance was too far to get a macro. My concern here is , that in macro with the background blurred, wouldn't that look off set with her feet and grass before her sharp. Now when I do close up shots I do set it in macro and get the blurred effect. I will have to show another of her that I did in macro. I would like to see, if either of you have one, a full body picture with a blurred background so that I can visualize the look and also how you did it. When ever I shoot macro in this distance (SOmetimes I forget to change the settings on my camera lol) the whole picture looks distorted. Thanks again for commenting. I would like to see how it would look blurred.

Hi, Honey.
Beautiful this pict.
I also think background could be a bit out of focus.
There could be a pict of the face of the child. Looks so
beautiful.
Beautiful pict.

Honey, Nice photo. One thing you might try is to blur the background a little more so the subject will stand out. But with such a cute subject, you can hardly lose with this one!

I like the pose and the way she is looking at the roses. Cannot lose with this combination. She is a cutie.
