KIm; 1st thanks for your comments/ratings on some of my photos. From just quickly looking at your portfolio, it looks like we have much in common ie nature photography. This shot has some very nice qualities-- the lighting must have been beautiful that day. I do think the photo should be leveled though. It looks as though the water is going to run off the pic. It's easy to do in either PS or PSP-- just a little rotation and some cropping. Cheersd. Craig

Thanks eeryone... I was looking at the foreground so much, that I didn't even notice that the horizon wasn't straight until I got the pics back... and I'm usually so good at that! I'm not sure why the light was so harsh either, as this was about 5 mins. before the sun set. But to me, the contrast shows all the nooks and crannies that these trees and flowers have to grow out of. Max5, I used a polarising filter and well as an enhancing filter on this... the enhancing really brings out the sunset colours nicely.

Hi Kim, Beautiful colors, well exposed, very nicely composed shot. Did you enhance it at all w/ PS or what types of filters were used? Love the colors great shot take care.

I thought to myself, this looks like lighthouse park. When I was there with my wife the romance was glowing, but my photos didn't capture the feeling.
Even though you have a setting sun the light feels harsh, lots of contrast. I wonder if more subdued lighting might have brought out detail in the darker areas. Your horizon is a little tipped. The tree at upper right is a nice subject, surviving there in a tiny crack of granite. Thanks for the memories.

this is the most successful of your scenic pictures, i think. the clearly stated subject gives the eye something to call home while wandering around the rest of the picture. the scene is beautiful and the color gorgeous. if i could, i'd have more sea and less rock, maybe even mostly sea and sky, with only a bit of rock at the far side, but i like drama and tension.

Very nice view, and really stunning lightning that gives such a warm mood and nice feeling! Wonderful shot!
Ps. Thanks for your suggestion to improve my "Leaving boat" photo. I agree with you, your idea is really good, but I tried it and somehow I think it loses a lot if I chop it, because then I have to crop on left side too and I wont have that extra cloud-fluff and it's reflection in the water.
