About I liked the original, but after playing in PS this version with the Dry Brush caught my eye. I can attach the original if any one wants to see it as well. Comments welcome... do you like the PS... is it too much?

Kim, they are both very nice. Being a Dry Brush fan myself, I have to say I do like the painted one. It's my favorite tool. I like taking the image beyond a photograph!

Hi Kim!

A nice shot. I think, I like the Oriinal one.

If you like playing or making changes with PS, I would suggest you sharppen the original a bit. The color of the worked version is too heavy.

I like the original. It begs to be printed on watercolor or fine art paper. I took a quick glance at some of your work, it's very good.

Thanks for the comment John... I keep waffling back and forth over which I like more. Both work for me, as the print is a bit sharper than the scan, but the PS has many interesting qualities that I like as well. I'm having a lot of fun working with the macros and different flowers so thanks for the encouragment everyone!

I like the original, but I think it wasn't quite as strong (maybe not quite sharp enough to be outstanding) as I would have hoped it to be. The photoshoped version is very interesting and I believe superior to the original. I agree with Mary Sue about the tightly cropped flower looking down into the frame. A most striking composition.

The original is lovely. To me, it is a much stronger image than the PS'd version. That is not to say that sometimes it is plain fun to use PS just for fun. Thanks for showing both.

It looks pretty. But as a photography works, overdo in PS I think. I prefer the one without PS. BTW, Kim I enjoy your macro works.

Thanks for the comment Mary... I will take another look at the PS and see if I can tone it down for a more natural "painting" look.
Here is the original!

To me the PS is a bit heavy, although I have certainly done the same with some of my florals. Yes, please do post the original, it would be nice to see what you started with. Compositionally, I like how the flower seems to look down into the frame, and I like the square format. I am enjoying your work.
