Just as the friend Cody Spaid says this is not a Short-eared Owl (Asio flammeus), it is a Common Barn-Owl (Tito alba). I attach you a picture of the short eared owl so that you compare it. PS: I found that picture in google.

Excellent picture and DOF, the scientific name of this bird it is (Tito alba) and if you notice well their head it seems an apple cut by the half, hahaha. very good work friend.

Excellent, my partner [Den Thompson usefilm] posted a shot of I think same sort owl, they are so soft looking, despite not being 'soft' This captures that lovely downy softness perfectly Margaret

Sorry to disagree, but it's a barn owl. :) I work with one myself. But the photo itself is stunning!

OMG Peter a digital? Whats wrong with you? ;)
Nice and sharp, bit of a hoot really. Great colours and surprisingly good background blur, hard to get with the G's
