Thank you for your comment on my "Runner". 1. All your photos are exceptional, why chose just this one? 2. Why (refering to another of your photos) is being Irish shameful? Regards, Rafi Springmann

Hi.....jake........remember commenting on my photo : "My friend with a broken nose" ? Thanks for finding out the faults in the picture, I'll remember your suggestions next time. But I don't know what went wrong with the exposure. You see: the conditions were dull cloudy & that too the pic was taken under a shade indoors. With this message of mine I am attaching a modified version of the pic, hope you like and do write 2 me back in my mail address: (munna7000@rediffmail.com) Your pics are cool !

Very nice and interesting street shot! I like the contact, and the expression! Also your choice of DOF is great! I think it works well in both colour and B&W, but I think you're right, that the colour one is a tad bit better!

Wonderful portrait, I like both color and b&w but the color seems to have more emotion.

I normally prefer B&W portraits, but I think the colour version works just fine in this case. However, making the comparison is made difficult by the fact that there are two different crops. I like the original crop better, so maybe that's the reason why I find the colour version better.
The man's eyes really draw me into the image. I can't quite decide what his emotions are. His right eye seems to be smiling. His left eye seems to be crying. The half-smile could mean amusement, but it could also be a suppression of sadness. He seems to have a lot of personality, but I can't figure him out; that, I guess, is what makes this a powerful portrait.
I'd be interested to know what lens you shot this with.
