This was taken on a boat tour. It was actually a beautiful day but there was smoke from a fire clouding the sky. It was a little eery. It was difficult to shoot on a moving boat - I was amazed that anything came out at all....
I think you have achieved a great mood in this image, its bleak looking from the smoke, very simplistic, and the grain from the 800 is great. A little crop on the foreground maybe, and a touch of a straightening to the horizon line (barely noticable when it is a hazy pic). i like this, I can feel an icy chill in the air when i look at this, even though you said it was nice.
