Andy your so funny......now would I go 800 miles to shoot a Boa...Hummmmm?
Yes, a photo book is what I am working towards. I took over 200 photos of this snake.....still trying to find the best shot...this was just a first try. A Boa would make a much easier subject to shoot..so much bigger than this little guy.....will they pose? This must mean that you have lots of mice to feed em!

I still think it works if you view it as a documentary photo, rather than a strictly artistic image. I really think these images would work extremely well in a classroom setting and I hope you think about that idea. Overall its a nice capture. I think the top of the critter's head is a tiny bit too hot, but its pretty darn nice as is.

Snakes, now you're talking. Wanna come up and take a shot or two of my Dumeril's Boa. I promise to get the scientific name before you do the shoot.

Title and Sig overlaying the image really ruin it for me. You should put that stuff in the border. Tough to gague the shot properly when you've filled what should be "dead space" with stuff that pulls your eye towards it, and takes it away from your subject, which is the snake.
