I agree, I think it's the sharpness that's the problem. My eyes keep trying to refocus on the image.

I too like the portrait but is it me or should it be a tad sharper? you caught the essence of the shot...the eyes.

I also agree that the ratings are too low on this one, although there is something about this photo that is not as engaging as your other photos. What I really like is her intense look. What I don't like for some reason is the fact her head is cut off and the softness of the photo. Usually I like this in your photos. I don't know...something about it isn't right. At the same time it does not deserve to be rated so low. It is a nice photo -- maybe just not the best you've done.

Ratings here are WAY too low, in my opinion. I think the portrait is a nice one. If there's a problem, its with the line of soft shadow falling along the right side of her face. If that can be toned down, I think this is a real winner. As usual, the eyes are really stunning. Not bad at all.
