About Pretty low light right after a rain. I walked out to a point to photograph the light house if the Sun broke through. While waiting, this little guy paid a visit.

Jim; this is a beautiful very well lit picture. The lighting and detail are such that this squirrel almost looks alive on my monitor-- I think the word is "palpable". Well titled too, although this guy looks well fed;>) You use that 300 f4 very effectively and I notice you shoot wide open on most of your photos-- gotta' be a great lens for this kind of results. Nice work!

Nice shot Jim. Good clarity and color on this one. I especially like the illumination, good evenly distributed light without any shadows. I would have liked to have seen this shot with a lower camera perspective. Eye level images have greater visual appeal. But to get this one you would have had to be lying on the ground. Difficulty, that is what I like about shooting in the field; The more difficult, the more rewarding when you get it right, Ronnie G.

Such a charming critter, and such exquisite detail, Jim. I think I can see your reflection in the little squirrel's eye. :) Out at Splitrock again? Peace.
