The crazy thing about this is I left this spot and was in my office in 2 minutes. the shot was taken 1.2 miles from where I am now sitting, Whoops I am at work ;-) better get back to it

Ok Jim now your going to start costing me big bucks...no pun intended..
I'm going to start not going to work, probably fibbing to my wife and I'm going to go to the mountains until I get a good shot of a buck........
You get the most awesome shots, yes I'm jealous.....only in a way that I want one also. Maybe I will buy a tranquilizer gun and zap the buck and then prop him up and get a good shot.....yupp going to look for a tranquilizer gun this afternoon...lol
Excellent shot Jim
Lee

I have to come clean. We have the camera's in common, and I think we established the love of planes before, but the detail I cheated. If you plug the tail number into Google, it will give you the option to look it up in the FAA register. Thats where I got the data. quick and dirty..
have a great wekend

Damn! That's nice! An excellent nature story and a beautiful picture all-in-one.

It appears we have some things in common:

We both have D70s and D100s.

We both recognize a Schweitzer 2-33, only you in far greater detail

Regards ?

Thank you for your kind words, I love taken the photos as well. the 300MM on the Nikon D70 digital camera of course works out to be 450MM equivalent on a 35 MM. plus this is a crop out of the main photo. very hard to get close. One click of the shutter and bingo they are gone.

Wonderful capture Jim, I love your deer shots - I stand no chance with only a 140mm max zoom lol
Time for an upgrade but just don't tell my wife ;-)

Jim, I'm so envious of these pics. Best we get over here are rabbits and if lucky a fox or a badger. Maybe it's because most of our land is agricultural. Would love to see a deer at the side of the road.
