reply to Jeroen on his last two comments. The previous beach couple scene was part of a brochure shoot for Windjammer Cruises. So call it a scenic. I chose the high angle to isolate the beach, couple and ocean colors.

2. re: film. I used to shoot reala exclusively but bad management and Kodak's pricing structure for non-kodak labs ran my fuji lab out of business. When I went back to my old Kodak lab in Dallas, they wouldn't accept the reala because it wasn't a professional film. I switched to NPS but it didn't have the punch (I have 600 rolls in the freezer that I can's get rid of) Because most of my portrait work is with a soft focus filter, I needed the extra contrast that NPC gives me. The colors are so good on this Moorea shot because of the early morning light--and now that I think of it, I shot this with my Nikonos--last time I took a regular camera out into the water my wife dumped us and it into the drink--but she's worth it!
