About The new Science museum and the ancient Victoria and Albert museum face each other across a street in London. I was doing a project called "architectural reflections" at the time and like the idea of the old reflected in the new.

Hi Bill,
Thanks for your comments on this and other images! I know what you mean, in that the V&A seems much eclipsed by the "new" in this shot. It wasn't my intention to suggest the V&A had been superceded - I'd have loved to get the V&A looking like the impressive bastion of ancient museumhood that it is in reality, but the angles just don't work out, so I was just going for the "old-new" interest of the reflection. I'm still after a shot of a new building reflected in an old one, but old buildings seem to be uncooperatively unreflective :)
Thanks again for the great feedback!
Chris.

I like how you handled the "new" part of the project but with regard to the "old" I don't think that the majestic feel of the V&A is not really reflected in the photo. If this is the idea you wanted to convey so be it, but in reality I don't think the new museum has eclipsed the V&A at all.

Ah, I was not sure what the crop was but I see it now. I think the cropped version seems more abstract, it is less obvious what the subject really is. I do not know what is the best, it probably depends on what you want and what you like the most.

And once more, with a border so you can see what we're on about.

Crop suggested by Lassitude... what do you think folks?
I'd also be interested in your opinions on background - what shades would you use?
Chris.

I think this is great - not very constructive, is it ? :)

Very aesthetic!! An immersive 3D effect from the shadows contrasted by the lines. The temporal contrast adds a cognitive perspective. Cheers.
